Stadia is Another Victim of Google’s Inability to Go Long

You can be forgiven if you’ve never heard of Stadia because Google did a terrible job advertising it.

Stadia had everything going for it any gaming startup could wish for: the financial backing from a company with deep pockets, Triple-A titles, a global pandemic keeping people indoors, a gaming console shortage, and a shortage of PC graphics cards that are clutch for gaming.

And yet it still failed.

Good grief. The #Mastodon logo is a side profile of a mastodon.

Did I see that? No. I always wondered what the dot was.

This is why you don't want me on your #EscapeRoom team.

2022 is the year I stopped putting `!g` in front of DuckDuckGo searches to compare Google results, because Google results are now routinely worse.

Friends at the Googleplex: blink once if y'all know this and are trying to fix it; blink twice if you're stuck there because of the health insurance.

Has anyone had issues with Moa Bridge occasionally not syncing?

OK, I think it all isn't lost for me with on the controller since the changes. Here are my 3 latest matches plus one bot match for comparison. Changing your playing style after the changes is necessary I think.

One potential explanation for why Mastodon is less argumentative than Twitter is that its character limits allow users to more effectively communicate their ideas, reducing the likelihood of misinterpretation.

Well, according to AI the best way to balance controller and mouse and keyboard players is to have separate pools of players. Anyway, this is what had to say:

"Sure, balancing controller versus mouse and keyboard players in an online first-person shooter game can be a challenge.

One of the main challenges is that controller players and mouse and keyboard players have different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to playing the game. For example, controller players may have an advantage when it comes to aiming and manoeuvring their character, while mouse and keyboard players may have an advantage when it comes to precision shooting and quick movements.

Another challenge is that controller players and mouse and keyboard players may have different preferences when it comes to the game's settings and features. For example, some controller players may prefer a higher sensitivity setting for their controller, while some mouse and keyboard players may prefer a lower sensitivity setting for their mouse.

To address these challenges, game developers often try to create separate matchmaking pools for controller players and mouse and keyboard players, so that players with similar control methods are matched against each other. This can help to level the playing field and ensure that players are matched against opponents with similar abilities. Additionally, game developers may also offer different settings and customization options for controller and mouse and keyboard players, so that each group can tailor the game to their preferences.

Overall, balancing controller versus mouse and keyboard players in an online first-person shooter game is a complex challenge that requires careful consideration and ongoing adjustment. By creating separate matchmaking pools and offering customization options, game developers can help to ensure that players of all skill levels and control methods can have a fair and enjoyable experience."

As a little bit of morning stretchout, I restored another IBM L40 SX using a working motherboard that I got out of an otherwise knackered machine and parts that I had left from a previous restoration. It is useless, but it sure looks very good. #retrocomputing #ibm

for anyone out there that is feeling that wolfenstein vibe, I made a shirt with the super oldschool 'get psyched' graphic on it. I wear mine around and nobody really 'gets it', which im not sure if its good or bad, but heres the shirt:

also redbubble is doing a 30% off sale right now, so if you're into that triblend fabric (its my favorite :D), go nuts!
