Do you ever experience FOMO about the future? Most of us won’t live much beyond 100, so think of the things that will be available just beyond your expected lifespan. Do you sometimes think “darn! I’ll miss some cool stuff”?

You know Natty Onai from ? Early in the game she points out that wizards and witches in Uganda don’t use wands, and that there’s a magic school in Uganda as well. Anyway, I want the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy to be set in Uadadou School so we can learn about a whole different set of magic traditions and witness a very different landscape.

Sex is great, but have you ever tried declining a meeting invite?

Today’s aliexpress arrival.

Hi Bart, I’m weaving on a loom 🧶

You know how jpegs can't have transparent backgrounds? Somebody just sent me a jpeg, and thought that if they changed the file extension to 'transparentjpg’ that it would somehow do something. I kind of like that they tried :D

UK people! Did you know that you can listen to audiobooks for free? Legally!

Go to your library with any proof of address and get a library card. Then register for one or both of these services:

1. Borrow Box - has an impressive collection of audiobooks, including very recent releases borrowbox.com
2. Libby - actually an international service. A vast collection of audiobooks (and ebooks, although we can't send to Kindle yet in the UK)

is one of the best purchases I ever made! Back in the days I enjoyed being able to game on any screen at home easily and I set up ethernet for all key screens for the purpose. Steam Deck is a good alternative as I can take the hardware into any room.

I'm still using GFN and Xbox, but a fair bit less now that I have the Deck. If I ever need more performance GFN or Xbox are the way...

This is what I had been looking for in and I finally got to see it :) The inner workings of Hogwart's clock.

Handheld Linux machine that looks like a classic Blackberry with a game controller jammed in as well.

Has that real mid 2000s feel. I like it. Or rather I want to like it. Call me a screen snob but 640x480 on a 3.5” screen doesn’t feel like enough pixels for modern interfaces.
