@gpowerf
Same here.
People say these models will put people out of jobs, I disagree. They will simply allow people to do more with the time they have at work.

The trick that many are yet to learn is how best to use these new tools in order to maximise their potential.

I've been honing my use of them for a while now and it has sped up some of what I do by an order of magnitude.

Do other players load their games from tape? Honestly at times it is like 5 minutes!

The icons from Pop!_OS are so pretty. I think I can be honest when I say I prefer them over any other icons on any OS. The default GNOME icons aren't bad either, but Pop!_OS just did something that makes them so clean and pleasing to look at! I will rate the combination of those icons with stock GNOME 76/10.

@gpowerf I’m often far more a fan of “unrealistic” looking games. I’m here for escapism! Also why I much prefer arcade style racers over Gran Tourismo and the like.

JSAUX sent me a lil Steam Deck package to look over. I probably would have gotten it earlier, but the very kind delivery person decided to put it behind my bin without leave me a note 🤷‍♂️ 🤦

You know what sort of games I don't like? The modern zombie stuff with realistic graphics where you can see raw flesh and gloopy gross stuff all over the place.... not for me

@koyu@koyu.space My doctor told me I should eat less carbs and red meat... I really like this doctor, my diet is now exclusively cheese.

It hasn't been long, but AI language models are fast becoming a very useful tool at work for me.

I played last night and honestly desync was so bad at one point I basically teleported to a different room in the map.

I love this game, but I can see why people hate this game.

@gpowerf If work is quiet I do... I then pay back the time when shit hits the fan... Swings and roundabouts and the benefits of hybrid working.

America’s legal system today

I want to practice law:
—You need a 4 year Bachelors, take the LSAT, then a 3 year JD, then pass the BAR, buy malpractice insurance, & total cost is ~$300K

I want to enforce the law:
—Here’s paid 13-week training & a gun

I want to write the law:
—No qualifications needed and a billionaire can buy you a seat

Bonus update: the TRS-80 Model 100 gains some onscreen text and! it's running LibROM, the custom ROM I created for it. (Grab it here if you have a UK machine and want to run US software, and/or want built-in disk access, etc.: sarahkmarr.com/retromodel100.h.)

God I really like for light tasks! Even for some of the C64 dev stuff I do for fun.

I've been using it for about 2 years now and I do feel like a consumer w****e who sold his soul to Google.... But I do like this !

My wife wants a new Mac and I find myself asking why. ChromeOS is the way :)

How often do you #apt update/upgrade?
