The marvellous 'hydropneumatique' suspension is the best known application of hydraulics in the #Citroen #DS. But the others are no less remarkable - the 'quick' high-geared power-assisted steering with its stylish single spoke wheel, the semi-automatic gearbox (shifted via the wand at the top of steering column - no clutch pedal) and the powerful brakes, operated via a short-travel 'mushroom' button. I'm still playing a lot of #Dirt5! :) This is a game I never get tired of... Initially on Stadia, then Xbox, now Steam Deck where it is perfect.

@agonzalez While I started with a ZX Spectrum in 1983 as a kid, my main #Z80 computer is the SAM Coupé - I bought my first in 1993 and immediately started programming on it.
Thirty years on, I still develop for the SAM Coupe having released a wealth of hardware, software and magazines over the years.

I used #ChatGPT tonight to help me brainstorm ideas for modifying / improving the guidelines & rules for or middle school Lego Robotics "BattleBot Competition." I used the generative AI ("I Can't Draw") feature of Padlet to display / share many of these ideas, & allow students to upvote / downvote & comment on the ideas. #edtech #STEM #NCed #AI
Clarification: When I said overlanders and off-roaders buy Broncos and Wranglers I mean those are the trendy in vehicles that you see in lots of videos and shows. Lots of people buy other things like Fortuners, D-Maxes, HiLux, Jimnies, etc... But all of those are affordable, they are not luxurious European SUVs!
Perhaps the competition are Land Cruisers and Patrols. Maybe... Its just that, another premium off-roader that's slightly smaller than an LC200 or 300.

The #IneosGrenadier is a puzzling vehicle. It has a high price tag and a luxurious interior, which suggests it is a toy for the wealthy. But it lacks the features of modern fun off-roaders, such as large tyres and huge ground clearance. On the other hand, it is marketed as a workhorse for farmers and local authorities. But why would they pay twice as much as they would for a reliable HiLux? Who is the target audience for the Grenadier?
I want this thing to do well, but I think they concentrated way too much in creating a Defender from the past rather than targeting this vehicle to the market.
Farmers and local authorities buy work trucks and Gators. Overlanders and off-roaders buy Wranglers, and Broncos.
Perhaps the hope is that the Ineos becomes a platform for people to create their ideal off-roader. More of a Series 70 for modern times. There's nothing wrong with that either... Maybe it is the European Series 70.
What do you guys think this vehicle is? What is it for? Who is it for?
