Battery got to about 95% full yesterday.
Started discharging at about 20:00.
This morning it is 30% full.
That's consistent with our home's ~250W idle usage.
Our electricity costs for last night are £0.00. Which saved us about a quid.
At current prices, this battery will pay for itself in 7 years (obviously it is a lot more complicated than that.)

If you're still using Chrome for performance reasons:
- Firefox is now faster than Chrome out-of-the-box
- Firefox uses less memory than Chrome
- Contrary to Chrome, Firefox does not restrict Ad blockers, which will make your browsing experience much faster (and safer).

Eevee render, using only compositing. Mesh uses emission shader; there's no lighting or freestyle here.

Normalized the depth pass, fed into posterize (finds distance bands from camera), sobel (edge detection), posterize again. Then use Lens distortion.

I hate "smart" anything, in a computer. "Smart" is just shorthand for "will try to do things you don't want," in office software, printers, calculators, email clients, and anything else.

I don't want the computer to be smart, it is very bad at that and has no context. I want the computer to offer a bunch of dumb, highly interoperable tools. Let me be the smart one.

@neil Another wrinkle is how long does it take to restore? For a big file server (or a big business) that's probably a long, involved process at best. "Yes, we have backups... and the restore finishes three weeks from Wednesday" probably isn't the good news users were hoping for.
