MIMIC charts

With these you see the 'speed' of the temperature changes. In NA we have a giant chocolate fountain, of the Pacific plumes going up and then down on us. In Europe, the cold blob is moving faster again as the Atlantic plume is diving south.

@strypey @atomicpoet Ok, so here are bursts of short philosophy. I tend to view things on a long scale. Mastodon is a bunch of code, and not a Principle. Open source was a principle, and benefited the world. FB and bird made the world worse. We need a principle, such as "Freedom to Read". That would be fighting city states with Reformation coffee houses, which relied on smuggled papers, and lots of caffeine.

Frozen knife clipper

On my blog I'm calling it 'Clipper of Frozen Death', but that's ridiculous. The mechanics are neat, and I've never seen this before. In Europe, the cold blob has gobbled Germany.

@RachelWorthington Yeah, totally ordinary. Welcome to the club, but we need the rich and famous to fund this. :)

@monotrox99 KDE is buggy as heck. I had to put Zoneminder on a separate machine because they both use mariadb. :(

@freemo @kathygriffin I know my buddy Ryan (I'm Canadian, he's from here, good enough), would love to come here, give big money and send me a case of his gin.

@freemo @kathygriffin Neat, the big stars should donate. Their would be a lot of exposure for her to denounce Elon and come here.

@freemo @Gargron @trinsec @khird I like that guy! This is hilarious, we'll call the movie 'Random Invisible Man' with clothes. "Ooops, it's happening again..."

@atomicpoet All these open source projects are like herding cats. You need a loud obnoxious guy at the top, yelling at everybody. Then he has to be paid, and play Eliz 1st, by pitting IBM against Google. Thus, the day can be won.

@atomicpoet Great, I think roaming identities could solve the problem of instance isolation. They could fill the role of tinkers and traders with the old feudal towns.

@atomicpoet Ok, I'm not getting a clear answer on this. Could a groupthink institution like NASA or The Guardian set up a paid subscription instance, and block everything in and out? That would be a great way for people to make money, and you wouldn't have to worry about Google taking over everything. :)

Twitter on the verge of being gutted

It's really a question of 'Who cares?' This article pumps up disaster.

Graphic card wars

The Nvidia card can fit in a large suitcase. And we wonder why Google Stadia failed, this is a true Man P*ssing Contest. 😍
