Weather balloons showed long ago that all significant heat energy is transferred from the surface to the stratosphere by convection, but nasa said differently and everybody just shut the heck up.

That's their hypothesis, and they'll never call it that. To cast a hypothesis means you can live with failure, and these people can't. My hypothesis has the cold phase going on for at least 20 years. When will they throw in the towel? Maybe never.
