@MVEG001 OMG, I once was at the Stanford graduation parade. shudder shudder....

@AndresPlazaR Always have a usb disk for a reinstallation, which I do all the time. I use Debian and the installer is great.

**Poots orders things for the Front** But they have no phones. "Hello, hello? Why is nobody answering?"

**My forecast wrong**
The chaotic nature of the ocean plumes has zapped me again. I thought it would be a repeat of the NA and Europe Arctic spills. Instead, we have a huge cold air spill through Siberia and into the Pacific Ocean. This is giving California a heck of a time. If you just look at chosen spots, you see a lot of warm weather, and you can make a convincing story that we are having a mild winter.

@kmic "Normally, I would follow your commands, but this time, get stuffed."

@mur2501 In preferences, add fav hastags and then click on them when you see feed choices.

@physics_magazine This was a big issue with our nuclear plants and the outflow water. As long it stayed on the top, the warmth went right away to the atmosphere. However, at freezing, the warmer water would dive and kill spawning fishies. Add a billion dollars, and there was an outfall tunnel with pipe dispersers.

**Tanks are just memories** This is a heavy tank war, and the West doesn't have any to spare. All the action went into these 'light vehicles' for Afghanistan. In the 70's all the action was into various loser tank designs.

**The Trillion Dollar Club** Notice that ammie just bought irobot. **A new robot sweeps clean**

**No heat electric cars** My kids have one of the first Ford electric cars. The range on a warm day is 70km. In winter, at 20 below, with snow on the road, it's about 30, if you turn on the heat. So, they are always freezing in the car. This innovation allows you to be a tiny bit warmer with no heat. I can't drive with a frozen nose. :)

**Siberian spill makes California wet** In California, the effects of an earthquake depend on the water table. Let's hope for no earthquake right now.
50% of a storm is the cold side. Right now, that's coming down from Siberia and the Alaska spill is still active. Everywhere else in the world, it's just swirly-mucky.

@frickinLasers Ha, I am contemplating the future of Mastodon. Huge hordes of trolls and only a small vanguard of honourable knights defending the keep.

**Scaling Paradise** I am greatly enjoying this slice of paradise, namely qoto. Scaling is a horrible physics concept. It means that the users are increasing exponentially and that moderation efforts can only increase linearly. I once thought there could be a structural thing, that could change the inevitable finale, but I can't think of any. :( It tends to mean that the weeds overwhelm the garden.

@freemo @copyme@mastodon.online I do know that the old usenet saying of 'Don't feed the trolls' doesn't work. I really don't have a solution.

@finlayd Oh, put in an accelerometer and have contests on who can get the highest rpm.
