@Rumo @SocraticEthics I fully agree, it shouldn't. that was my point in previous posts. but the article says
>the transfer of any aircraft to Ukraine could happen only in agreement with NATO countries and Poland "will act in full coordination" with its allies.
@Rumo @SocraticEthics the article says that Poland is insisting on a NATO agreement for supplying F16s to Ukraine. which it won't get because of Scholz.

Anti-vaccine misinformation makes it through peer review.
Shocking that a paper by a known anti-vaccine
activist, based on a badly designed self-report survey, made it through peer review to publication. Even as a qualitative researcher I can spot the design flaw in asking people "do you know anyone who died of the jab?" and then treating that as a fact to calculate the number of deaths caused by the vaccine.
It should be withdrawn.

A few weeks ago @heidilifeldman wrote about the German Nazis coming to power:
“Today’s American Nazis are gaining the same kind of power the German Nazis did in the 1930s.”
And the #media parallels are also strong. The publisher of the Daily Mail in the 1930s was an explicit fascist, a member of a British fascist party. There is strong similarity to Murdoch and Wilks and Koch and Singer.
Political fascism hasn’t changed much—billionaires to dangerous lickspittles. https://www.notesfromcalicomanor.com/2023/01/07/todays-american-nazis-are-gaining-the-same-kind-of-power-the-german-nazis-did-in-the-1930s/

@zamallama @bookstodon that's an impressive graph but is a lot more bookkeeping than I would be willing to undertake personally.

Which do you identify with more?
#BookWorm | consumes books
#BookDragon | hoard (collect) books
Obviously many of us are both, but which describes your primary relationship to books?
@bookstodon #bookstodon #reading @audiobooks #books
@zamallama @bookstodon @audiobooks
definitely bookworm. These days I mostly buy audiobooks or ebooks, not physical books. or does that still count as collecting?
@zamallama @bookstodon no (I mean why?) but I record most books I read on Goodreads so I suppose I could find out.

from the movie "Crossroads" which deserves to be better known if only because of a great soundtrack.

RT @kajakallas@twitter.com
Disappointed by @Olympics@twitter.com decision to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to attend 2024 Paris games. Politically and morally wrong – time to strengthen isolation, not give in to Russia. Sport is a tool in Russia’s propaganda machine, ignoring that means siding with aggression. https://twitter.com/ZelenskyyUa/status/1619046256281632793

I know tonight is as heavy as it gets, you have probably seen or read the worst already.
The vision Tyre Nichols wanted in life to share with everyone was peaceful and beautiful.
