Has COP28 redefined consensus to mean all but the unimportant parties? With the small island states not party to the agreement trumpeted today, that's what it looks like to me. Whither the sovereignty of states?

Op 16 december deelt Meer Bomen Nu 100.000 bomen uit. Meer Bomen Nu redt opkomende boompjes uit parken en natuurgebieden. Overal komen boompjes op waar ze niet groot kunnen worden. Door deze uit te scheppen en te herplanten kunnen we Nederland groener maken.
Het plantgoed is gratis, circulair en veelal inheems. Tienduizenden bomen worden zo gered, verzameld en opgeslagen in bomenhubs. Op 20 plekken door heel Nederland kan men gratis bomen en struiken ophalen! #urgenda
I awake up to learn that COP28 has ended in failure, with the petrostate presidency railroading through an 'agreement' which ignores the objections of island states that will sink beneath the waves due to global warming. No consensus, and nothing whatsoever to celebrate.
