Hi, I'm Jon Hilton.
I'm an acute internal medicine and intensive care medicine doctor.

I wrote this https://www.rcpjournals.org/content/clinmedicine/20/1/115 about bad NHS IT.

I wrote this bit.ly/Guide-of-guidelines to help re-deployed healthcare staff during the COVID pandemic.

I started a Substack about things we do in healthcare which maybe we shouldn't https://maybedont.substack.com/ Life got in the way but I promise to write more.

Black women helped drive record early voting in Georgia. They’re not done

I want to be very clear that when I say "you're acting from a white supremacist point of view" or similar, I am not saying or implying that you *intend* to.

It also doesn't matter whether you "intended" to. The fact is that white supremacy is a system that can suck you into its clutches in a heartbeat. And whether or not you intended to harm someone, viewing an issue from a white supremacist lens causes harm to others.

Think of it as an opportunity to learn something.

A picture of a snow leopard roaming Mt Everest published in The Times today!! pretty awesome

Morning at the marina

@hikenwoodwork They're one of the 'shoveler' ducks. They do have impressive bills 😀

@hikenwoodwork Yes! I love Norther Shovelers and I have even seen two of them here in Oz. They can be a 'vagrant rarity' to AUS.
