Film directing legend Melvin Van Peebles (RIP 2021), shot with a Panasonic GX7 for the Philadelphia Weekly September 2014. He was a fantastic subject. One of my favorite assignments ever.

A male #LesserSpottedWoodpecker (Females don't have red on their heads) is searching for some insects on a dead tree. Normally we have somewhere between 6 and 8 thousand couples in the Netherlands but during the Winter their number doubles due to migration.
So the chance of finding one to photograph is great at this moment.

Cute or ugly? Some people think #warthogs are the cutest thing going and others think 'meh'! However, if you love to photograph #wildlife it's a thrill to get a shot! Warthogs are very skittish and they usually were long gone before we could lift a long lens! When they run, their tails stick straight up like a flag!

Another ghost in the wilderness: Old abandoned farmhouse on the High Plains of North Dakota. The house is crumbling - the front porch has collapsed. There are no other properties for many miles around.

A lot of non-Natives fear #LandBack, concerned Native gov'ts would treat them the same way Colonial gov'ts treat Natives.

Truth be told though, #LandBack would be the best thing to ever happen to Natives and non-Natives.
