The Copernicus Crater on the Moon.

It may have been created by debris from the breakup of the parent body of asteroid 495 Eulalia 800 million years ago. It's about 93 kms wide.

Iris Nebula (in LRGB)

The Iris Nebula is a bright reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. The designation NGC 7023 refers to the open cluster within the larger reflection nebula designated LBN 487. The nebula, which shines at magnitude +6.8, is illuminated by a magnitude +7.4 star designated SAO 19158.(Wikipedia)

Quick #BlurXterminator test with #PixInsight. The star shapes in the original are pretty terrible, and while far from perfect in the result (right), quite a lot better. Definitely going to test this more. If only there would be some clear nights to get new data to play with!

The Triangulum Galaxy (M33) a spiral galaxy at around 2.7 million lightyears from earth. It’s part of the neighbouring Local group of galaxies.

Ever wondered what it looks like at night?

This had quite a large moon so in usual fashion you cant expose for it and the MW at once, so superimposed a bit more detail with a secondary shot.

One of my latest deep space photos. This is close to 16 hours on the Triangulum Galaxy, named for the constellations we see it through.

Here's a green flash I photographed a few years ago at ESO's Paranal Observatory in Chile, back when I worked there. This phenomenon happens at sunset or sunrise if conditions are right, especially if the atmosphere is strongly layered.

This is a rapid burst of shots taken one after the other. The whole sequence lasted only two seconds, which gives you an idea of how ephemeral green flashes are.
