@dotage I really like the idea of a turn-based survival game where it seems like an old man is yelling at everyone to do the right thing.
Today I had a Teams remote meeting where the browser window only showed an error message, but somehow my image and audio worked. I’ve been talking to a bunch of URLs and numbers for about 20 min while the other party could see me without any problem. It’s been… weird.
@ismh Carrot might have something nasty to say about this statement.
@aliettedb I’ve had a few people recommend me your books. If I were to start with one, would you recommend this one, Fireheart tiger or other?

Over-simplification, I'm sure, but it seems like the rhetoric of the right boils down to “things would be better if not for X” where to solve for “X,” someone needs to not exist...which leads to policy ideas that do not seek to solve the original problem, but to figure out how to eliminate “X” as if that's some panacea.
Is “X” immigrants? Black people? Jews? LGTBQ+? Pick your poison, it's all rubbish. We're all just people and the rhetoric is not about helping anyone. It's about control.

I started educating myself to use Salesforce’s CRM to manage part of our nonprofit. It’s insane the amount of things one can do with that! I know most of the stuff I could do it with a custom database (MySQL, FileMaker or Panorama), but it’s great to have all the tools ready to be used already.

I miss written tutorials. I hate how every tutorial is a YouTube now. I don’t want to watch 15 minutes and forget to pay attention for the second that has the detail that I am missing or it just doesn’t show. Even short tutorials are 3 minutes when it could have been a ten second read. I want to skim a page and go directly to the point. Has writing really become that hard to do?
