#Opinion: #BorisJohnson is politically dead. Even if he does get through confidence vote this time, he is mortally wounded.

Labour wrapping themselves in the butcher's apron isn't a good look. At best, it just looks fake. At worst, it's trying to don the tories' mantle.
And at a time when the image of the jack is sullied beyond retrieval for a large number of progressives, not just within Cymru and Alba.

Within the last couple of hours, the last of the #ospreay #eggs has hatched and so this pair of parents has a full brood now. I don’t know what the chances of the last #chick are since it will lag behind the others by several days. I guess the first few days are the crucial ones.

We had to postpone our Easter egg hunt this year as the family were unwell.
Catching up, we had our hunt a couple of days ago instead. Great fun but extra special when we found these in the middle of our large Phormium plant! 😍

Blackbirds perhaps?

We seem to be moving into the "everybody has it but almost nobody is dying" phase of the pandemic.

Scheduled my second booster just to be on the safe side.

Top GNU.

So to introduce myself here on @mstdn and the network: I am an Earth system scientist interested in what the hell is going on on this planet - in view of common history, the history of humans as a species, and Earth's history. I write about the Anthropocene, politics, the biosphere, the essential value of culture and of the arts.

Lead of Earth System Analysis at the Potsdam Institute für Climate Impact Research in Germany, Professor of Sustainability Science at Humboldt University in Berlin and advisor to the German government on environmental policy - but here private: my own opinions & views only.

Should I parallel here what I (for now, still) do on twitter for 5600 followers and sometimes ten thousands of impressions? The much better concept is here in the fediverse.
