I neither said he was smart nor stupid. I commented on his character.
He will undoubtedly have huge teams of people analysing the effect of everything he says and does. His future actions will be adjusted to maximise his appeal to those demographics.
As you said, it is all about enhancing Trump's position, he doesn't believe in anything. Ideals are anathema to Trump.

If the #Covid19Cymru figures are correct today, it's truly remarkable. I confess I am doubting them though. Statistically this is improbable. We know that yesterday there were problems with the testing figures, but no problems have been reported for death figures, and no problems reported today for either; in fact, the implication is that it's back to normal.
1 death today, after 1 yesterday. Total now 1477.
Another caveat: Sunday's figures are often low.
My model's prediction for tomorrow: 7.0

There was just one death recorded today in the #Covid19Cymru official figures. Although the testing figures come with a warning on the PHW web site, there is no reason to suspect the death figures are incorrect. Along with yesterday's below average figure, and bearing in mind that Saturday figures are normally around about the average (no weekend effect until Sunday), this is an extremely encouraging result.
My model predicts 2.7 for tomorrow.

Some neighbours of mine have been looking after an orphaned blackbird for nearly a month. I've had a minor role in the process, taking it under my wing on a few occasions. I also named it Marlene (after Marlene Dietrich) but, given the difficulty of sexing birds early on, it could have been Marlon (after Marlon Brando).
On Thursday, it chose freedom!

@freemo Also Uncle Ben. Additionally, is Claude Debussy in danger re 'Golliwogs Cakewalk'? My late Guyanese wife was black but given a golly by an aunt in the early 1930s as a toy which she loved. When I came out to Symi I brought it with me (I had to put a explanatory note in the luggage as I didn't want people pulling it apart looking for suspected cocaine!). I regard myself as an anti-racist and even woke, but there are difficult hermeneutical issues about interpreting the past. We need to learn from the past, not try to erase it. However, most of all we need to ensure that all people are treated equally in the present and in the future.

Sorry guys. I'm like @bob today: tired. Tired of voting, demoing, writing letters, signing petitions, talking to my mp and mla and city counsellors and by nearly every metric things have just gotten shittier in my lifetime.
And those are the entire extent of my democratic 'powers' :-(
Well, unlike CEO's having their champagne breakfast, I have to go to work now - I'm short on rent this month on top of no champagne.

I sometimes thing the #PremierLeague #Footballers are pampered and given too much attention but it’s good to see that they are setting a good example with the likes of #MarcusRashford using his influence for the good of the community. Also good to see tonight’s #football #players wearing #BlackLivesMatter on the back of their #jerseys and #TakingAKnee prior to their matches.
