@gemlog And if T cell immunity from past Corona viruses protects (it's thought that SARS 1 survivors have adequate T cell immunity against Covid) then, with a number of recent common colds having been Corona type viruses, I do wonder if the 1-(1/R0) level for herd immunity might possibly be being reached in some places.
We just don't know though, because those were mild, few people would have reported them, and there's no easy test now.

There were 2 new deaths reported today in the #Covid19Cymru official figures. That brings the daily average down to 1.0 - the lowest it's been since the very beginning (the week following the first death). Total now 1545.
Wednesday's figure is traditionally slightly higher than average.

Just three weeks since the winter solstice we are well into lambing with upwards of half our ewes having given birth. Here a small group of lambs is gambolling about while their mothers graze nearby.

It is cold, especially when there is rain and strong winds that suck the heat out of the newborn lambs and we already have three that have been rescued and under a heat lamp in the house and bottle-fed.
