FYI I know its not easy to keep track of other cultures holidays. So just a remind in 2 days Ramadan is coming up. So if you have any Islamic friends dont forget to wish them a wonderful Ramadan (this is a rather important holiday for them) on Tuesday.

If I recall correctly Ramadan is one of the holidays they fast on, so it might be especially appreciated if offer them a nice home baked snack or meal in the day leading up to it as a nice gesture (I dont think this is a typical "gift" for the holiday I dont really know, but just seems like a thoughtful way to go).

If any Muslim friends would like to help steer me to good ideas on this one feel free to leave your thoughts int he comments.

1) Ramadan is a month in islamic calender. Muslims fast all the 30 days of the month from sunrise to sunset (nothing should go down the throat not even your own saliva)

2) Normally better to wish for the end of the ramadan (Eid) that's a big holiday and festival for muslims.

It is worth remembering that the MSM is owned by a few billionaires and put out propaganda rather than news. True journalism has almost been killed off and independence between 'news outlets' no longer exists.

I hear the same narrative on New Zealand TV news that I recognise from reading US news outlets on-line. They use exactly the same words at times.

For a brief time last year I noticed some real journalism, during the uncertainties of Covid-19 lock-downs, but it soon reverted.

Holy crap, close call lightening strike and my 50 some foot antenna on my roof definately felt that, heard it crackle.

Very sad to learn that RIPE are now using Cloudflare. Yet another critical piece of infrastructure is under the control of a US company, and thus the US govt.

I voiced my objection when I was asked for feedback and am told it is an emergency response to DDoS attacks, but they are considering keeping it in place. Cloudflare can now issue TLS certs on behalf of RIPE.
