Sweden to shut bars and restaurants that ignore coronavirus restrictions
uk.reuters.com/article/uk-heal
There has been only take-away here for a long time now - no bars or restaurants or cafes.
I suppose maybe we can see what difference more or less "lock down" makes?
Deaths per million are quite a bit higher than their neighbours - if the reporting is equal in methodology.

Well, at least we now have a new Ubuntu LTS with a somewhat more recent Qt5 version. I still don't get why they decided to ship a two year old release instead of the latest one, but I guess that's just Canonical these days 😒

A quick comment today on #Covid19UK figures. Deaths now at 18100, which they say is an increase of 759, but my spreadsheet says is 763 (Priti maths again it seems).
On the high end of the expected range, but still consistent with a slow decrease from the peak. Unfortunately, it's slower than Italy; we're now moving above the Italy+14 days curve. That means a longer descent, and more total deaths.
There's only one thing to say about that: #StayAtHome

There's not much to say about today's #Covid19UK death figure - 449 - except that it is suspiciously low, and is the lowest for 2 weeks (since Monday 6th April, which recorded 441). I expect a correction tomorrow. It wouldn't be surprising to see a figure in the high 700s, or even 800s, tomorrow, as weekend data come in late.

If tomorrow's figure - and more importantly, the percentage increase, is not significantly down, we should worry, and ask why not. The UK figures are still lower than a week ago, so don't panic - yet. But I am a little uneasy.

@aolog @papa @uaa Doctors in Japan have warned that the country's medical system could collapse amid a wave of new coronavirus cases.
"One ambulance carrying a patient with coronavirus symptoms was turned away by 80 hospitals before he could be seen." Yikes!
I've been quite concerned given Abe's reluctance to even recognize the seriousness of the problem vs torpedoing the games :-( I don't even know how Yuko is doing up in yamagata.

COVID-19’s impact on Tor
"We had to let go of 13 great people who helped make Tor available to millions of people around the world. We will move forward with a core team of 22 people, and remain dedicated to continuing our work on Tor Browser and the Tor software ecosystem."
