Mostly to remind myself, I just want to say that behind all the bullshit, immoral, power-grabbing nastiness of our corporate controlled governments, there are actually nice, normal caring humans in all countries.

Every once in a while on a weekend I change my avatar to show that I'm not a kermode bear, but an old, straight, cis white guy and a couple of ppl stop talking to me. Fine! You know what? That's *why* I change my avatar - to weed out your type of hate from my timeline. Mastodon is mostly a very accepting place. I don't do folk music much, but here are some old guy tunes, because someone made me sad about being me today

Time to grope through /home/gemlog/bin for some python that I've already written that is almost what I want right now.
Frankly, at this point, I think that sometimes the exploration for an existing script is sometimes longer than it would have taken to just write something new.
I am a bear of very little brain...

I had to do that too - no bios could boot a cd. The cd's from 1994 were used to make boot floppies, yes.
