@pluralistic I found a scammer on TikTok, she apparently has a real Ph.D (physics) and an actual non-profit and if you can just get her 10 million dollars, her 100% effective and very real cure for cancer will be available and free for all.
She's already gained at least 2.5m dollars. I submitted a complaint to her state's attorney general but I have little hope it'll go anywhere.

Happy birthday to Russian #mathematician & writer Sofia Vasilyevna Kovalevski (1850-1891). Her contributions to analysis, differential equations & mechanics include Cauchy-Kovalevski theorem & the famed Kovalevski top. She was 1st woman appointed to full prof in N Europe or to serve as editor of a major sci journal. She is also remembered for her contributions to Russian literature. 🧵1/n

I'm severely colourblind - my eyes can hardly detect red light at all.
So, working in web development, picking colour schemes is hard.
There are tools around to help you pick accessible colour schemes, but they assume that you can tell by looking that a colour is the one you want, and the only information you need the computer to calculate is the contrast ratio.
I realised I need a tool that will take the name of a colour and find a shade that gives a target contrast ratio.
