My weather app just had a picture of a fried egg and asparagus as the weather indicator... What does that even mean?

Taught a lesson on coercive control as part of the Respectful Relationships program. I honestly think that if I was in yr 12 and had lessons like these, I would not have had a 3 year relationship with a controlling partner (aged 17-20). Education QLD doing something right. I really hope other teachers do these lessons justice.

It is week 1 of IA week at school. I have been in the lab with year 12 chemists for 13 and a half hours in 3 days... The lab stays open from 2-5pm so I am doing long days. This year are by far the neediest students we have had in my time at this school. Only a week and a half to go!

@skanman A way of eating a banquet of mini-meals. Repeated, small serves of Cantonese dishes. Pretty popular in Australia. We managed about 10 plates. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yum_ch

@skanman I ate yum cha for the first time in years. That was new, sort of.

@trinsec Get a keep cup with a lid? I swapped to iced coffee or cold brew in a cup with a straw 😉

Can't afford to put stuff into storage for 2 years for my move to Thailand. Meaning I am selling off my collectibles. 😔 VHS and DVD gone, ex-rental horror was hard to let go. About to clear the C64 collection. If I think about it I get attached again, so trying to be less emotional. It is surprisingly hard.

Swapped my external HDD to a 256GB flash drive for work. Hopefully I won't have an anxiety attack every time I drop my "14 years of teaching resources" on the ground.

Selling and giving away my stuff because I move to Thailand in 17 weeks. Surprisingly hard to get rid of tangible evidence of memories.
