Anyone know of some good studies that examine the psychological impacts of “going viral”? (Working on a project with a first year PhD student and we’re coming up short on recent studies in this space… wondering if there might be some older work out there.)

Today I deleted the “talk to Yoel about data access” action item from my to-do list. It had been hanging around in page 2 to-do limbo for several months while I was waiting (wishing) for things to blow over. (Tear.) Now, we watch our Twitter collection infrastructure to continue to degrade and begin to build our next generation of tools atop other platforms and information resources.

glmark2 renders the Phong bunny at 16K×16K resolution (!!!) at almost 200 FPS on the M1 Ultra!!! 🚀🚀

For comparison, the M2 manages only 26 FPS ✨

During yesterday's stream my internet cut off for a few minutes and I didn't even notice... 😅

I was focusing on the code and wasn't doing anything online... and of course the chat wasn't updating with everyone telling me it's down!!!

Maybe I need some kind of monitoring...

And finding out it's people setting the names of anonymous users to weird (and invalid) IP addresses to stir up drama.

晚上穿的衣服鞋子戴的美瞳背的包带的手机最近都不会再带出门了，带备用机出门，换另外的发型和厚眼镜，以及不同颜色的口罩，尽量增加被追踪难度。（本段落供参考欢迎补充）

We *need* standard protocols like ActivityPub, but ultimately, users do not want a protocol. People do not want a formless ball of infinite potential. They want "Products". They want a clearly presented thing that they can put into their web browser or phone and it slots them into a legible user flow satisfying a specific user story. This is not because they are brainwashed by capitalism. It is because most people *have other shit to do* and don't want to bother with software that's unfinished.
