The terrorist attack in Moore County, NC knocked out cell towers, internet and phones. People had to drive to the neighboring county to find out what was going on. They couldn't call 911. As I'm writing this, some towns are still without power.

I can't stress enough how important amateur radio is in situations like this. Handhelds run on batteries, and most hams have several batteries charged at all times. Base units often are run off grid with battery banks, solar, etc. Mobile units run in vehicles. Repeaters are usually powered by solar batteries, the ones based on mountain tops are around here.

Having a license, practice and experience with the radios and nets and having a way to talk to others, call for help, or assist are invaluable.

I slept very poorly last night due to the news that Musk gave privileged / possibly PII & DM level access of Twitter mod access to a variety of strident anti-LGBTQ (especially anti-trans) bigots who masquerade as journalists. This is an incident which would require user notification under California law, if it weren’t for the platform owner granting it. It still might be a violation of privacy laws. It’s absolutely a disaster for all LGBTQ people who used Twitter.

我在一台旧华为手机上的一个隐藏分区内，发现了华为EMUI系统（版本为4.0，基于Android 6）保存的大量日志文件。这些日志文件中记录了大量手机用户的隐私数据，包括附近网络的MAC地址（可被用于精准定位和绘制用户日常的行动轨迹）、各应用的使用情况（包括点开各个Activity（可理解为Android应用中的界面）的时间）、充电的时间和时长、每次屏幕唤醒和睡眠的时间等。
很多日志文件被保存在各自数字目录的uploading（翻译：上传中）子目录下，但有少量日志文件被保存在名为done（翻译：已完成）的子目录下，疑似已经上传到华为的服务器。

我可以接受某些厂商设置用户体验改善项目（假设他们不默认用户参加的话），但是在不予告知的情况下收集这种隐私数据，我无法接受。

因为作为证据的日志文件和分区镜像（当然）包含了我的很多隐私信息，在此无法提供原始文件，只能提供打码后的展示截图和对应展示文件的sha256值，请予以谅解。

I go through lots of graph paper, so to save a little money I made a LaTeX template to print my own. It was so handy that @duetosymmetry and I turned it into a LaTeX package.

There are various grid styles (graph, quadrille, hex, iso, dot grid, etc), and both custom and pre-defined color schemes.

Use it to easily print your own paper, or to make pdf page templates for your favorite tablet note-taking app.
