Every time that I feel like I've become comfortable with syntax-case I try to do something seemingly simple that requires procedural transformation back-and-forth between syntax objects and their corresponding forms, only to spend ~10 hours getting the mechanics right.

But each time I walk away with a whole handful of new tools that simplify so many extremely gnarly programming problems. The literature seems to be more or less limited to Dybvig's treatment, which is really good but fairly steep and focused on implementing the same procedures that are always used to teach macros. When I eventually get it down I'll definitely try to put together a tutorial.
