@trinsec Dat zou goed kunnen. Ik heb dit account ooit aangemaakt omdat iemand die ik kende er zat. Ik vind dat internationale en wetenschappelijke ook best leuk, maar niet uitsluitend dat.
Ik probeer het weer een keer. Op Twitter lees ik dat het heel gezellig is op Mastodon, maar eigenlijk zie ik nog niet zoveel interactie. Op welke instance zit al die gezelligheid? En zijn we daar meteen weer innig samen met alle bruinrechtse/wappie/intolerante/racistische "vrienden" van Twitter, of kunnen we die een beetje ontlopen?

#Fediverse If a major influencer hops onto some fedi instance, please remind them to do a toot and ask for donations for the instance admins.
The mere fact of their joining may bring the server to its knees, and admin / moderator volunteers paying out-of-pocket server costs and super hard at work doing moderation for a celebrity, slowly burning out.

Vrouwen in de politiek krijgen onevenredig veel haat en agressie. Daar moeten we samen iets aan doen. Om te beginnen zelf nooit hatelijk, neerbuigend of agressief zijn op social media. Maar daarnaast ook anderen er op aanspreken.

Musk says activists have scared off advertisers. Um, no. Perhaps it's Musk firing Twitter's entire content moderation team.
Parler, Truth Social, Gab don't have anywhere near the revenue Twitter had. Advertisers don't want their ads interspersed with shitposts full of sadistic glee for Paul Pelosi's assault and other MAGA hatred.
Bye Twitter. It was fun while it lasted.

@freemo It definitly is. Sorry I didn’t respond at the time. I lost my login and couldn’t be bothered. Now I’m giving Mastodon another shot and am slowly getting the hang of it.
Eerst kon ik alleen inloggen vanaf mijn Mac. Daar ging het scherm van kapot. Hij wordt gratis gerepareerd door de Apple Store (na 5! Jaar). Nu lukt t ook vanaf mijn iPhone. Ik ga dit onder de knie krijgen.
