Time to update my satellite pollution talk for this weekend.

There are 500 more Starlink satellites today than when I gave this talk in July.

4,924 Starlinks in orbit now (56% of the total 8,728 active satellites in orbit).

Just your periodic reminder that one company owned by one pretty awful dude effectively controls outer space now.

To understand why Andreessen's "Techno-Optimist" piece is so wretched, go to the "Enemies" list and gape at the things he and his bros want to get rid of.

They include: “Sustainable Development Goals”, “social responsibility”, “trust and safety”, and (among others) “tech ethics”.

Remember, those are the tech bros' enemies.

Any device that needs to be off because it can't be trusted with your conversations should not exist in the first place.

La vida te da sorpresas, pero la literatura te da más.

Mis alumnos me convencieron para crear un taller de novela corta.

Y a mí me pareció genial porque pago el alquiler con su dinero.

Así que fui con todo a por ello...

Pero ninguno teníamos ni pajolera idea de cómo iba a salir.

El caso es que ha salido muy bien. Un curso después, mis alumnos están terminando sus novelas.

Y me he ilusionado tanto que he montado una pequeña editorial para publicar sus obritas, y de paso publicar alguna mía.

Y así es como mi taller de escritura creativa se ha convertido en un especializado taller-editorial de novela breve.

Mi intención es seguir atrayendo a gente que ya se maneje con el relato breve y le atraiga la idea de escribir y publicar una novela corta.
