New #pymrio release (v0.5.1) with support for #Parquet file storage, GLORIA #mrio downloader (parser coming soon) and some bugfixes. First release with LGPL licence. Available on pypi pypi.org/project/pymrio/ and #condaforge :

The new #parquet based file format reduces the save/read time of the full #exiobase system from around 2 min to 20 sec on a typical SSD/laptop (with half the space req).
Will present parts of this at the #iioa conference #opensource special session, Tuesday 27.6 at 1430.

The #Python based country converter coco reached version 1.0!

By now, the functionality seems quite stable and coco is already heavily used in production.
So going forward we will be conservative in changing existing functionality, avoiding breaking changes as much as possible.

We version 1.0 we also moved to a new home, https://github.com/IndEcol/country_converter

This is an effort to emphasis the community (#OpenSource) aspect of coco - I want to avoid the impression that this is just "my" project (but of course I will continue developing it).

And with version 1.0 we also switch to the new pyproject.toml based build system - many thanks to @mwtoews for implementing this.

New home and licence for the #Python Based Multi-Regional Input-Output Analysis Toolbox: #Pymrio: github.com/IndEcol/pymrio
This is an effort to emphasis the community aspect of pymrio.
We changed the licence to LGPLv3 - so no restricting when importing the package.

We made it clear at the post office that it was a mobile phone, not worth much since used, and it was sent as a pakke . But who knows

Thanks, but this exactly what we tried.
Then the tracking was in limbo between Norway and Germany (Norwegian said it's in Germany, Germany said it never arrived) for 3 weeks. No it suddenly came back with "retur av postsending grunnet forbudt innhold" with a list of reasons where posten should cross which apply - nothing was checked. Of course nobody at the "postoffice" can tell us anything. And we checked before sending that it was ok sending a mobile phone...

And the scam: we had to pay double the price, although it never was in Germany....

Noway folks - help with #mail needed: Any experience with sending a forgotten mobile phone out of #Norway ? Post Norge turns out to be a scam (returning it after 30 days without comment, but blackmail for double the fee). DHL perhaps? Alternatives? #livinginnorwayissues

One last thing before the holidays. I plan some home (to #indecol) and licence change (to #lgpl3) for #pymrio and the #countryconverter #coco (both in #Python ) early 2023. Feedback is very much appreciated at
