The Peña Lab is HIRING! Currently seeking 1-2 #postdocs (molecular or #datascientists) for multiple funded projects to understand how #earlylifestress impacts #epigenetic regulation of brain development and behavior.

We use #singlecell and other #sequencing approaches, computational analyses, and test our hypotheses back in vivo by gene and epigenome editing, activity manipulations, and pharmacological approaches - and of course behavior #inmice.

I am a neuroscientist and PI of the neuroMADLAB (University of Bonn & Tübingen).

We investigate neurobiological mechanisms of #motivation, action, & desire to develop novel treatments for #reward dysfunction across disorders. To this end, we stimulate brains and model behavior and #brain responses.

We are passionate about #openscience, #scicomm, & #mentalhealth

Hi all!
I am an engineer and software developer focused on tools for research, especially for extracellular . Core developer of @spikeinterface.

Currently working with the Allen Institute of Neural Dynamics to build efficient and automated pipelines for large-scale ephys analysis. Also working part-time with CatlystNeuro, helping labs to adopt open-source and standard solutions for analysis and data storage.
I'm also interested in biophysical , , and approaches to probe neural activity.

Hello,

I am a neuroscientist studying how specific regions in the brain are vulnerable to Alzheimer's disease (). We are mainly interested in the neurons of entorhinal cortex and hippocampal since they are affected early in AD and important for memory. We use in vivo electrophysiology to understand the population dynamics of neurons affected by amyloid beta and tau pathologies. More recently, we've been interested in how locus coeruleus pathology impacts downstream regions.
Was awesome meeting so many fellow scientists at the meeting

Great talk today from @marion_rouault today at UCL’s Consciousness Club.

Included discussion of this intriguing paper - showing how controllability alters confidence as we interact with a changeable world.

It is so pleasant to read through a timeline of updates from accounts I've chosen, without a sponsored or recommended post in every other slot. Feels like back when the whole social media thing was still more social than commercial, when I was still young and optimistic
