@davemurdock Escape is a really common term in software as well. It just means that a bug or defect made it through the testing process without being discovered. I’ve worked places where the term was only applied if the issue was discovered by customers in a shipped release as well as places that applied it to issues that made it into unreleased/internal builds. Escapes usually cause reflection on and updating of the testing process.
Hm, I also can’t create new lists. Just get an endless spinner. 🤔

Every once in a while, a guy presses me about my experience as a woman in tech, expecting something rosy.
I say: "Imagine that all your same-gender peers for the first 15 years of your career…were not there. That was my experience."
You'd be astonished at the pushback I get because it is just so hard for them to conceptualize so many people in their career just vanishing.
That's how it is for women and many people of color in tech.

Awful ruling upholding Indiana’s law against recording police within 25 feet. Similar laws have been ruled unconstitutional elsewhere because recording cops is an established First Amendment right.

Decided to see a movie on the spur of the moment after hockey on Sunday night. “Whatever’s playing at 7:30” turned out to be American Fiction, and it was delightful. Worth seeing, would gladly watch again.

Doh! The CA DMV got me again with the page refresh that deletes all the account numbers that I'd painstakingly typed and confirmed... all because "special characters are not allowed in the Last Name field." FFS, PEOPLE HAVE HYPHENS IN THEIR NAMES.
