Six Flags Magic Mountain in California is building a massive canopy of solar panels over its 30-acre parking lot that will power all of the rides and offset 100% of the amusement park’s energy usage while providing shade to the cars parked beneath.

When completed, it will be California’s largest solar energy project & the world’s largest renewable energy site built by a for-profit organization.

Way to go, Six Flags!

Quicker than ever to see which card to use at checkout thanks to the watchOS 10 redesign.

Few things left to tweak, but totally digging the translucency and vertical paging with the tab views (bonus: now you can have a tab view with swipe actions, so useful!)

Working on the Watch app is such an awesome experience due to the constraints of the platform — really requires focus on the core functionality, but I also add the full app experience for power users with a few extra taps.

Instead of a submarine it's the Earth's biosphere, and we're all unwilling passengers. But the same arrogant, ignorant, foolhardy billionaires are driving. They think they can just decamp to Mars if things go badly. That is far less realistic than the submarine.

Watch debugging is rock-solid in Xcode 15. I've yet to have to do the reboot dance to get a debug session going. Thank you to whoever improved that.

I'm busy watching back to back WWDC videos, and needed to pause for a moment to say how freaking awesome the new MapKit/SwiftUI integration is – everything I wanted and more! FB7857481 ✅ This plus the new StoreKit work shows how much of an impact SwiftUI is having across Apple.

If all announced clean energy manufacturing projects are realised, solar & battery manufacturing already meet the needs for 2030 to stay on track for net zero. Wind, heat pumps & electrolysers are not yet on track but are expanding rapidly.
