You might not think water is a big issue in Hawaii -- but fresh water is a precious and constrained resource on these islands. Big farming companies have taken water rights from Natives -- and this also impacts the diverse ecologies where fresh water flows to the sea.

Hard fought political fights won some of those rights back in the 90s-- but now those same companies are using the fire as an excuse to roll back the clock.

Somebody asked me recently if I feel like I'm pouring out a million thoughts in a rush when I'm writing. No, I said, it's more like when you're squeezing really thick frosting out of a piping bag and you're slooooooowly pushing it out and trying to make designs that look half-decent on your cake but the frosting keeps getting stuck and you have to constantly squash it while also attempting to be artful.

I also love* how many people who give disaster advice completely ignore how much money they are actually talking about.

Zenitizer, an excellent meditiation app from Manuel Kehl was recently updated with iCloud sync support. The app's design is impeccable and a great example of the strengths of SwiftUI when it's scaled from watchOS to larger screen sizes.

I roll my eyes when the *only* response people have to injustice is "Vote!1!" I roll my eyes more at the idea that not voting is some big brain 5D chess radical move that lets you operate outside the system.
