Awful ruling upholding Indiana’s law against recording police within 25 feet. Similar laws have been ruled unconstitutional elsewhere because recording cops is an established First Amendment right.

In desert climates of the US a suburban lawn, with irrigation and soil aeration "maintenance" is basically a fire ant paradise. Fire ants love direct sun. They hate bushes that shade the ground, diverse clumps of plants, and fire ants can't live in the desert. They are tropical and the sprinklers for lawns complete the picture. Fire ant paradise!

But then people get so angry when they show up to live in something clearly made for them.

The idea is to stop pre-textual traffic stops, in which an officer pulls over a driver, usually Latino or African-American, intending to find a reason to search their vehicle for contraband.

Research shows that pre-textual traffic stops are a racist practice that nets very little contraband. #acab
