An instance that is too small won't have enough connections to outside the server and won't be really active.
There is also a risk that one instance becomes the main instance although this risk is low.
@trinsec my vision is blurry but I can get around.
I have scleral contact lenses and I can see pretty well now.
It doesn't always progress though, most of the time it's caused by rubbing the eye. I'm working to stop that
