I just completed "Report Repair" - Day 1 - Advent of Code 2020 in Julia.

Thanks to repl.it/ for enabling me to do that despite my local OS being borked (and so not having a usable Julia). Pretty good online coding experience for minor projects like this.

@L29Ah just close the ticket? I'm not sure what is expected here. Sai is offline right now so I guess no rush.

Workplace conditions this morning are less than preferable. It's at the point where I drink my coffee to drink me warm moreso than to stay awake.

@mamemomonga I haven't listened to radio in a long time. They got rid of all my favorite stations.

The main module attempts to spread to other known hosts by stealing the client-side certificates and connecting to them without the requirement for a password.

The actor employs various methods to spread across the network, like harvesting client-side certificates for spreading to known hosts using ssh, or spreading to systems with an incorrectly configured Docker API.

@mamemomonga
Yes and no. I would argue that although it is important that you take time away from work to do something for yourself- it's probably not a good idea to regularly miss work. Too many people focus too much on work and neglect themselves. Meanwhile others focus too much on having fun and neglect their responsibilities.

@awused
Message someone on Mastodon to give you a ride if you miss the train?

@absturztaube
"The infection starts with the downloader module, which downloads the main installer module"

Wait, so are they saying that Installing docker alone makes you vulnerable? Or is this a random module?

It's too early to be awake...I want to go back to bed.

@valleyforge have you ever heard of Mystery Science Theater 3000? They make fun of old movies as they play them.

@valleyforge never heard of them. Are they closer to the left or right? Hahaha

@mamemomonga
That is really fucking retarded. I rarely use such vulgarity on here- but I cannot express enough, my perspective of the level of incompetence that had to of been in place when some idiot thought it was "a good idea" to release an essentially jailed product. Perhaps the target consumer was someone who had equal ignorance? Or perhaps there's an alterior motive to forcing you to use your personal smartphone. Either way, that is inexcusable and puts me off of their brand of that is how their future practices are going to be.
