@net thanks, great to be back. In the time I've been away, I've moved and also had to set up a new home network. Got my pihole up m running now.

After almost a month, I am finally able to get back onto mastodon/fediverse!
What happened:: I had put my phone on top of my car while loading the car, forgot about it and drove off. It fell and shattered, making it inoperable. Biggest problem was that all my accounts had google authenticator enabled with only the destroyed phone to authenticate logins.

So how did we get from the gleaming promise of the digital age as imagined in the 70s to the harsh cyberpunk reality of the 20s?
Centralization, rent seeking, planned obsolescence, surveillance, advertising, and copyright.
How do we move forward?
Re-decentralization, a rejection of the profit motive, building for the future/to be repaired, building for privacy, rejecting advertising, and embracing Free software.

I blame proprietary software and associated hardware. Companies like Apple are the reason why this happened.

Yeah... Atm it doesn't always work with nvidia drivers, though the success stories seem to be on Ubuntu.
I'm toughing through the debug logs though.
