@freemo
Interesting, I learned something new today! The only rebute I have is that my old HS must have been using it incorrectly because that was how it was used at that time. But I suppose we cant expect all HighSchoolers to accurately use choice vocabularly.

Additionally, did not know about its usage in math or that there was a subject called 'Graph Theory', though i'm not surprised.

@mcnally
at least if you had a gps on you and you ran into a tree at 20kph/mph and couldnt walk aftewards, you could be found. Or if you fell off a cliff due to loose soil on a bike path.

(this one is advertised for theft- i guess your wife can always argue 'in case nature decides to steal my husband, i can find him!')

As for your bike- some people use hidden RFID chips as 'markers' for their bikes. If they ever get stolen, scanning the RFID chip if/when you to go pick it up from a craigslist/ebay sale would show authorities that it really was yours.

(i think these are the right ones- not entirely sure)

@freemo just dont mix in verbage like "click" when referencing distance, because they might get confused with other meanings... "There were a lot of fans- clicks as far as the eye can see!"

fyi:: in case anyone who didn't know, a 'click' in modern urban social slang is a stereotype-categorizee group of people. whereas a military use of 'klick' refers to a kilometer.

@freemo
that would be a good exercise on mental gymnastics- at least for those that arent familiar with the systems. i suspect that the part of the brain that would translate this is the same as that when someone is bilingual and merges multiple languages in the same sentence.

"Huawei is proposing a fundamental internet redesign, which it calls “New IP,” designed to build “intrinsic security” into the web. Intrinsic security means that individuals must register to use the internet, and authorities can shut off an individual user’s internet access at any time. In short, Huawei is looking to integrate China’s “social credit,” surveillance, and censorship regimes into the internet’s architecture."

Hey, California, it’s time to start closing the digital divide. Tell your senators to support SB 4: act.eff.org/action/california-

hey @freemo is it too late to get started on DB-politics and/or Spreadsheet-politics? I know its *been* a thing but not sure if everyoen knows about it...

deus = god
daemon = demon
"The skeptical religious follower could not decide if the powerful entity was an evil daemon or a holy deus."

got rid of many of my junk bookmarks- pleanty more to go through but thats it for tonight

@mcnally
-GPS :: not just for stolen bike, but also if you get lost in the wilderness
-GoPro :: itd be awesome to share footage of your biking trips! depending on the angle, it might help game/vr designers as reference material.

@2ck
whatever it doesnt outsource, it makes a subsidiary for.

@mcnally
2 things:::
-Attach gps to bike
-Attach gopro(or similar) to front of bike

Other than that, looks like fun!

If you can't see the emotes, I'll elaborate.

@marathon thanks for the follow-up! Yeah, weird how it didn't quote... Might be because it's a different instance?
