@mamemomonga
I have been slowly learning how to use QEMU.
@mamemomonga
it's a minimal OS with a few utilites. Additoinally, it has almost no GUI.
It's not meant to be a main OS for any system- but rather for things like maintenance and occassional, less-demanding usage.
@mamemomonga
:( Why not linux with a Windows virtualbox?
@mamemomonga
Have you tried WinPE? I'm not a fan of it...
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/download-winpe--windows-pe
@mamemomonga
they would more likely go MS Win * OS --> MS OS
@mamemomonga
Given the current trend of more people going over to unix-based OS, I wouldn't be surprised.
@mamemomonga
please, no.
@miamiautumn
It would be my assumption that the big difference early on is because youth may still be developing running skills but are apt to run faster speeds.
On the flip-side, you have that more narrow range where individuals are at their peak(30s) before their bodies slowly start to slow down and settle in.
But I haven't any data or sources to back this up.
What packages do you use in emacs for C/C++ programming?
@freemo all I know about CNC machines is apparently I need to learn OpenCAD
@novimatrem
But what if I do?
@MaleGoddess
Currently, I've been doing mile-runs and timing myself. At first it was depressing to see how far I had fallen in the span of 15years. But drinking, smoking, fastfood,etc does that as well as ageing.
At the very least, I want to regain my 6min mile of ability I had in highschool. I've already seen progress and will be continuing to push myself at least until I regain that much.
As an adult, I have no excuse as to why I should let my current self be outdone by my past. I should be growing, not receding into infantile fatigue.

Wait- "the white house" or "a white house"?
@freemo @marathon
Rice.
Thank you both for allowing me to spectate over the more intellectually stimulating discussion of rice than- for example, if the earth is indeed round. Or if toothpaste is a brainwashing agent.
Here's all I can contribute with my ignorance and lack of knowledge of the subject.
-i prefer white rice over brown(home or abroad)
-wild rice I had at the cafe tasted more 'chunky' rather than soft n fluffy.
-i love sushi but can't make it to save my life because sushi rice falls apart too quickly
-i have never 'cleaned' my rice before and have never heard of anyone doing so until this last year
- I can't find anything in the packaging of my rices at home that has the same terminology used by either of you.
-because of the both of you, I now have some reading/watching to do on rice in general. Something more benefitting than watching a 'sitcom'.
Thank you both for this delicious discussion, if permitted I'll report back on what I've learned.

Redried rice... Could you use it to dry a submerged cellphone?
@labeochrysophekadion@mastodon.online @solexid
at least i dont feel alone in this- thank you.
Though I still wish i was on the 'inside' of the pun...
@MaleGoddess
average running times based on age/sex I can provide a link if neede but i got it from a google search.
This stuff is for my own personal use because I'm trying to improve my health and my own running times.
Considering the amount of self-mutiliation and overwhelming opression, the ending results of my current fatigue are sufficiently optimistic towards potential recovery.
I hope to regain what I once lost(over a process of 6+ years) by doing whatever needs to be done so that i reattach myself to my own independant status-quo.

Elite marathon runners average a mile in around 4 to 5 minutes. The current world record for one mile is 3:43.13, set by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco in 1999.
