ah, skiddies talking about how they subverted their school network's filtering on IRC

nature is healing

@empiricism

A lot of things have been made taboo. This makes people afraid to mention or even think of them.

Councilor's provide individuals the ability to freely speak about their troubles and reflect on how to proceed. Unfortunately, they can get expensive if a lot is bothering you.

Counseling has taken many forms over the millennia, such as religious leaders, psychologists, community leaders, sobriety sponsors, etc.

In conclusion, the two main battles one has to face is that perceived taboos need to be addressed in order to find inner closure- and the other is finding an appropriate person to comfortably converse with about it.

I would think there would be some sort of markers one could rely on... Like fire hydrants or something.

I was told a long time ago- don't buy new editions, let your employer do that for you. Buy older editions and add amendment post-its.

gatcha/grind are always the easiest to implement and most financially profitable.

that's what you get when you trade quality for $$$

@TheOldGuy

Following the link, it's all about how a Sub got fired for telling people they were getting rid of all the books in the elementary library- when they were actually pulling books out they didn't want 5 year olds to read.

Correct me if I somehow misinterpreted that.

BlackLotus, a UEFI bootkit that's sold on hacking forums for about $5,000, can now bypass Secure Boot, making it the first known malware to run on Windows systems even with the firmware security feature enabled.

Secure Boot is supposed to prevent devices from running unauthorized software on Microsoft machines. But by targeting UEFI the BlackLotus malware loads before anything else in the booting process, including the operating system and any security tools that could stop it.

Your mind is central to your identity. The sharpness of your thinking, your ability to communicate and connect with others, and the rich trove of memories you’ve collected over a lifetime all have enormous value.

As you get older, you may notice changes in some of your thinking skills, including cognitive decline. Cognitive decline is the gradual loss of thinking abilities such as:

-learning
-remembering
-paying attention
-reasoning

Some cognitive decline can occur as adults age, but frequently forgetting how to perform routine tasks, for example, is not a normal part of aging and can affect a person’s ability to live and function independently.

Illusion of consent will deceive those without strong principles. Orwellian metamorphosis has been a long time coming.
