@MischievousTomato
Yeah, without further information- I can't help narrow down the culprit. Though, I hope I at least was able to provide a footing for you to get started.

@MischievousTomato
I suspect that narrows it down to either your phone was originally distributed in UK, your isp is UK based, one of your apps is UK associated or your phone # is on a list somewhere.

Keep in mind I'm not a professional, nor do I pretend to have full certainty or backing supporting this.

@MischievousTomato
Is it a pinephone with android or another phone with mobian?

-i was under the impression pine64 was based in UK, but wiki says it's founded in US and made in HK.

-mobian shouldn't (iirc) have any default settings that would lead you to get texts from UK. I will have to double-check later though.

I keep a binder full of notes. Some have been to taped and sequential hole-punched.

@rlamacraft
Aside from privacy/security concerns imposed by this, the problem is is that this assumes that they're *all* not intentionally set up this way.

@skells
It doesn't die- it evolves. Don't think of it as something that can be poked with a stick and bleed out. It's more likely to make that stick into an arm and beat you back with it.

I assume that by 'type' he means names in general. So basically looking for a big list/DB of every possible name in existence. With ethnic/cultural/etc data attached to each if possible.

@deesapoetra @Tusky
I noticed that too some time back. To follow people I have to use another client or the web browser.

@freemo
What about literally burning money instead of hoarding it? :ablobcool:

@marathon
I forgot what the name for it is, but this is actually a reproducible circumstance with other goods/services. If I recall correctly, the idea is that by paying more, your expectations are higher. When it finally comes down to judging the quality of the product, it preluding psychological primer due to the expectation comming from the pricetag.

Sorry if that sounded cyclical.

@trinsec I'm glad you found benefit in it. The examples are not always clear on usage and intent- but I hope that it gets communicated well enough. Like some other languages, multiple words can mean relatively the same thing in Latin, but can vary based on context.

Not sure if other users experienced this, but I have been getting unusual text messages compared to my previous phones. I believe these are either generated by Modem manager or sent by my service provider. In them includes timestamps and my phone #. This leads me to be inclined to believe them to be associated with voicemails being left.

If anyone else has any other ideas, I'm all ears.

@trinsec
Additionally, there are many latin variants to 'essentially' the same english word. These diversities are organized by context as well as other common categories such as sex and singular/plural.

If you have any qualms with my shared musings, please feel free to respond in a healthy in manner accordingly- and I hope we both can grow from the outcome either way. After all, latin is a 'dead' language.

@trinsec many latin words are familiar with other languages, for at least being predecessor. As for inheritance of others, I cannot honestly say.

Though in it should be of happy, good-natured temper that we both find similar characteristics between the two. A united communique is ideal for a more unified, peaceful world.

ludus="prank"

The student ran about the yard distributing many a ludus.

"I once sought myself out to be a formidable and strong man: yet I have become young and palpable. It is with age that I have learned that I have much to learn and grow as I do suffer and suffice. Hence is the eternal war against ones own constitution."
