waiting for laughter that will never be. it sheds a clown tear. now it shivers. it honks its horn and looks up at you in anger with a ugly, rotted, misshapen grimace. it pulls out a toy gun and shoots it at you- all you see is a blurry static of rainbow (presumably) confetti.

you wake up. you have clown sh oes on. a clown hat next to your bed on the nightstand. you pick up your cellphone and go to unlock it- only to have it shock you. you turn on the tv- only have to have clown shows and clown news on every channel. you run outside in your squeeky clown shoes and everyone is driving around in clown cars and wearing clown outfits from their Dr Seus-like houses.

In a panic- you turn around to go back inside, only to see a oversized boot with a tiny door open. Afraid for your life- you run down the steet till you find a random man reciting poetry to passing clowns. You run over to him, relieved to find 'a person' in this frightful place.

you try to talk to him but all that comes out is laughter and hiccups. you reach into your pockets to find something to use to communicate with him with. You pull out a horn- hesitate for a minute, and try to communicate using morse code, but only know S.O.S.

Your laughter and honking is perceived as just regular clown laughter and the man just chuckles and continues reciting poetry.

You then decide to try to write it out to him with your finger.

You tap him on the shoulder- and point to your hand. But as you go to write letters down- you reflexively reach into your sleeve and pull out a chain of colourful napkins. After pulling the chain completely out- you stomp in a series of squeeks out of frustration.

This is still perceived as a series of clown gags.

Distraught and dismayed- you stand there in sad-clown face as the man continues on his business reciting poetry.

@Science Finally I took apart the solid clumps to get a closer look. At first the two pictures are the solid clumps around the spark gap pretty much in tact. They were quire hard. Howeve however I noticed when i broke it in half (as well as the solid clump at the bottom of the beaker) it was in fact hollow in the middle and only the outside was solid.

It would appear the plasma has so powerful it vaporized the salt to a gas in the middle and only the area outside the path of the arc was solid. That is one hell of a plasma arc!

You could either write down, memorize or follow along with the instructions. I wouldnt be watching a show on how to make pancakes or cupcakes or scrambled eggs. I would be watching for genious-level stuff that would be hard to find in most restraunts.

It's learn by example. How is that low that low effort? You watch it being made, you see the end result, and then it gets compared to other dishes.

What if they're both convulsing and choking on something?
Or convulsing and their airways are swollen?

@GirthyChode@fosstodon.org Generally if its a petite seizure there isnt much you need to do. Don't panic, they will just be a bit spacy or unresponsive for a bit. Best to just make sure they are safe and keep an eye on them.

For a grand mal seizure, where someone is convulsing, then you clear the space of anything hard or sharp they could get hurt on. Do not restrain them, let them convulse. But them on their side and try to keep them there to help keep their airways clear. Watch that they are breathing (they should be), and keep track of how long.

Also as always, call 911 if you have any doubts.

Not so kindhearted cooking::::

>> I poured my heart and soul into perfecting this recipe that I inherited from my great great great great Grandma that earned her her nobility within our mother country- just to cater to your refined taste!

<< What the flying fuck is this garbage?! This taste worse than anything I could have pulled out of an abandoned fastfood dumpster!! If I were your grandmother, I would have off'ed myself to prevent you from nearly killing people with this monstrosity! Wherever she may be buried right now, she must be rolling in her grave and crying tears after you must have mutilated her possibly wonderful cooking!

@2ck @izaya
I watch cooking shows for ideas- not necessarily to see the same thing I've done 100 times before be remade.
Various cooking shows have their own niches. Gordon Ramsay for example- you can expect at least as many insults as you will see dishes.
