I hear that- with my new place, I have to put a lot of work into it. In my last place I didn't have to because there was no need to(it did imo tho). I find rural life less stressful but less plentiful in materialistic options. Definitely a change to make if you want to grow in that direction with life.

@freemo
Adulting can be hard sometimes- I could use a break.

@freemo
I don't know- I kinda agree/disagree with both extreme sides. Sorry to be a bipartisan- I'll walk out with my Spanish inquisition.

@hackernews@die-partei.social
This was back in September- a little late if in you're just now hearing about it.

@freemo
Birdsite bad

@freemo @icedquinn
Woof- I mean, oof!

@freemo @icedquinn

The only way my death would get justice would be if it got enough publicity and if it caused enough problems for the world at large.

I would need a cornerstone of a society to matter in perpetual fraction of the posts erected to maintain it.

@marathon@mastodon.online
I didn't use any references this time around.

Curious, now that I got confirmation from one job- my current finally accepts my application for promotion...

@icedquinn
That implies that Hollywood has been lieing- and we all know that's impossible. The movie Independence Day actually happend- so did Armageddon, Sharknado and 2012.

@icedquinn
Because a lawyers job is to lie? Haven't you seem the Jim Carrey movie Liar Liar ?

Just when I was getting depressed about my job hunting, #redhat steps up and gets back to me about my application. I am now officially having a good day even if I don't get the job! It feels nice having someone acknowledge you.

@waltercool @freemo

This case has been a breeding ground of nothing but memes. As serious as it should be taken, it has instead just been turned into a tv drama. Any attempt to make an actual movie or tv show from this will flop in comparison.

Again, wtf.

@namark
In my experience so far, employers tend to continue raising the bar despite not actively meeting such standards internally.

For those who don't know what you're talking about:::

BBC is the British state broadcaster while Al Jazeera is a state-funded international news broadcaster owned by the Al-Thani family, who rule Qatar.

Al Jazeera is an independent news organisation funded in part by the Qatari government.

Yet another day of people outside my current co. not wanting to employ me.

It's been a while, but is this how it feels to be insecure when going out on a date? This feels horrible. I know I have value- I just wish it was immediately justified as though so that I can keep that confidence.

Or maybe I'm too immature as to consider living a constant unstable living with possible underlings depending on me...

@freemo
I'm liberal with my choice of words and conservative with my choice of preferred topics. However, when it comes to many philosophical matters, I'm very bipartisan.
