Possibly the nerdiest argument I've ever heard is claiming that #haskell programmers should stop calling <*> the "TIE fighter" and start calling it the "TIE advanced".
I love it!

> Although we are optimistic about the Matrix protocol and remain committed to following its development closely, we were not able to justify a full relocation of the FSF and GNU's official channels to a Matrix server. Doing so would create the unacceptable situation of encouraging a large number of users to run nonfree software in the form of nonfree JavaScript, which is used by the flagship Matrix.org server to authenticate users.

Elite marathon runners average a mile in around 4 to 5 minutes. The current world record for one mile is 3:43.13, set by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco in 1999.
Ran 4.8mph again. It's ok- just gotta get used to the pace before pushing harder.

The California legislature has been handed what might be their easiest job this year, and they are refusing to do it. Speak up today before the legislature decides to give in to big telcos and leaves $7b for public broadband sitting on the table. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2021/06/1000-californians-have-asked-their-representatives-fix-our-broken-broadband-system

Unfortunately, due to my #pinephone no longer detecting the modem- it had become nearly impossible to send/receive calls/sms. I am now reverting back to my old phone until a fix is found.

According to Google, you’re not human if you aren’t being tracked by Google.
