I feel like github page's load balancer changes IP address more often than my VPS does. Maybe I should give up on it? I don't like having one machine running all my stuff though.

Dinner of an average minecraft player.

We've developed a low-cost, open-source, live streaming underwater camera designed for long-term continuous immersion for ~$200 💸

Made from PVC pipe, everything you need to construct this camera can be bought from your local hardware/electronics stores 🎥

@Science
Interesting fact of the day:

Despite popular belief it is not really correct to say the speed of light is a universal speed limit in the universe. It would be more correct to say one object can never go faster, relative to another object by the speed of light.

In other words, no matter what speed I am going relative to the earth (or anything else) doesn't matter; if there is some object going the same speed and direction as me I can still accelerate up to the speed of light faster than it.

All that matters is that nothing can go faster than the speed of light relative to me the observer.

Corporations: Please flush toilet only once a week to save water

Also corporations: Let's send this beef to China on a big boat so some slave labour can wrap it up and ship it back on another big boat

@SmilingTexan Art is important in life, but the term STEM is not about iterating the things that are important in life. It is about closely related disciplines that form a single unifying category. must know all 4 to do any of those four. It is quite impossible to be a scientist without knowing math, or an engineer without knowing the science behind what you build. While I might agree you will be a less capable scientist if you have never studied art you are still more than capable of doing science regardless.

QOTO is a community exclusively for professionals, students, and enthusiasts of STEM. While I would love to think some of (and I hope many of) our members do some form of art as a hobby it would be counter intuitive to allow artists in who do not otherwise have a stem background.

What are of STEM do you engage with?
