Well, I cranked this project out in two days at the maker space. Here's the finished product!

I find that the discussions I have with people about it don't end up being very nuanced unfortunately 😔 And what's doubly unfortunate is that a friend of mine actually decided not to become a programmer because "ChatGPT will automate it all"....

I live in a really big building so this is rare for me to have such a normal, human resolution to some problem
Today was a very rare day where something went wrong with my internet, and I found the tech who goofed up the wires in the lobby of my building ... And he actually just fixed it after I told him it was messed up.

For all the bravado that rural police like to display, more and more they appear to be weak and easily intimidated. Take this example from Uvalde, er Gem County, Idaho.
Not sure why Idaho's version of Roscoe P. Coltrane doesn't get on the horn to somebody in the big city willing to gather up their law enforcement posse and go serve some justice frontier-style. Maybe he will after giving his share of traffic tickets to out of state drivers to generate some revenue. Unless that interferes with stopping in at the local diner, chatting with Mary Sue, and having a slice of pecan pie a la mode.
(I don't really believe that is the life of rural law enforcement, but every story like this reinforces that stereotype).
Plans for my cedar plant bench are coming together. Can't wait to start this project!
