Despicable. People you don't like are cancelled at any opportunity. Why in the hell was she invited to it anyway? What has she to do with the www?!

These warmongers have no shame. They lied about Iraq, just as they're lying about now and previously. If one looks in our print media archives, it was only a few years back that some high profile media was writing about the Fascist and neo-Nazi propagation in western Ukraine. Now the same are saying there aren't any Nazi's despite copious evidence to the contrary.

Qoto != Goto
Yet, when first I glanced at Qoto, I saw Goto, that infamous statement responsible for mountains of spaghetti code. I then saw what it really stood for and immediately signed up.

Qoto, to me, means to learn or teach ourselves. How else really? Watching or hearing do not quite measure up to reading, especially physical books that you hold. In bed, paperbacks are preferred; hardcovers can be dangerous if you’re drowsy.😩

The best way I found to see if I’ve learned something from reading is to write down a synopsis. Not so easy. How about writing something original? I have great admiration for all writers of: , stories, , cook books, text books, technical specifications, how-to books, etc. etc. I’d go out on a limb and say, the art of writing is significantly more difficult than either creating a painting or composing a piece of music. Please note that I said art, not science.

In this internet age, much of our reading is in snippets. TL;DR
So, here’s a poll for the longest time you’ve spent reading in one sitting recently. (excepting this toot)

Masto.host

OK, one more step done. Everyone on Masto.host is now running v4.0.

About half running v4.0.2 and half v4.0.1.

For the ones on v4.0.2 the upgrade is done (unless v4.0.3 is released 😂 ).

The others on v4.0.1 I will upgrade them in the next hours to v4.0.2. A small restart is required that will cause about 15 seconds of downtime.

If you run into any issues, please let me know. Thanks.

@obi
I'm not denying that. But we are blocked by some instances, hopefully fewer going forward.

@obi

Sure, but we're only a tiny part of the Federation. Posts here get posted throughout the Fediverse, despite some instances that block us - for the wrong reasons I might add.

@hasmis I don't know what this post means - You think Mastodon will be finished by Christmas, or that you'll give it until Christmas before you make the decision whether to stay or not?

@obi

Are you kidding - Mastodon admins censor all the time! I was banned by some because I was critical of male athletes who became transgender women, and started competing against natural women, being an unfair advantage. Just saying.

Well, this is good news - Probably will be a whitewash though. :-/

@obi

Ok, so there you go. I've experienced this happening many times with some of my posts, being that I'm in the GeoPolitics game, if people don't like what I'm saying they'll contact the admin of Facebook and/or Twitter etc., and all of a sudden posts won't go through. It's typical of social media. One just has to deal with it and move on.

@geantonicelli

@obi @geantonicelli Well it's a reasonable assumption - it wooldn't be the 1st time. Have you tried any other mastodon links that don't originate from that instance??

@geantonicelli

Tried posting that link to the Birdsite just now - I got a toast message that says it's been indentified as a dangerous link. Someone(s) has reported it, probably a climate crisis deny-er.
