So there is a site out called #countersocial and some people I know are thinking of joining it. Apparently it started as a #Mastodon instance but left due to issues involving negative feedback for blocking all users from 7 specific countries. The owner claims the "the lead developer [of Mastodon]" "decided to slur, slander, libel and basically cause as much trouble with us to his ‘community’ at large."
Can anyone give me any insight into this?

Does anyone know how to get the e-mail of an old TikTok/musically account? Someone just posted a video I made when I was fucking 9 and I'd like to log into that account and delete it, however I don't remember the email I used so I can't access it anymore.

I can understand why a former publisher turning into yet another surveillance capitalism firm would like to exploit the data from @Arxiv. Yet I am not able to explain why Arxiv is interested in helping it. ♻ @brembs: Is @arxiv going surveillance publishing? https://bird.trom.tf/RickyPo/status/1518119800572162048#m

The Chordettes - The Best Of (1991)
Genre: Traditional Pop
★★★★☆
Unfortunately, the Chordettes never put out an album. This is the closest we're ever going to get. This group is more important than people realize. They were the bridge between jazz and rock n' roll—and quite popular too. Today, we'd associate them with doo-wop. Of course, their two big hits are on this tape: Mr. Sandman and Lollipop. But there's a lot of bangers too. Only complaint is the tape is too short.
