Programming is chaotic magic. There are no rules. You ask a game dev “Can the player summon a giant demon that bursts from the ground in an explosion of lava?” and they’ll say “sure, that’s easy” and then you’ll ask “can the player wear a scarf?” and they’ll go “oof”

We make #RaspberryPi Pico in #Kenya now so we sent Eben to point at things at Gearbox Europlacer in #Nairobi and then we took photos of him pointing at things and now we're sharing Eben's pointing with you all.

I feel stupid, but I can't figure out how to add a header image on my profile... there's no image option in the edit UI. What am I missing here.

Currently waiting for this simple little PCB from PCBWay... doesn't do much but gives me a connector for the waveshare 1.47" SPI display, a Neopixel (if I wired those right) and some breakouts to wokr on another iteration. Initial plan is to see if it works, then write a bit of code to cross post my tweets here and show them on the screen as it does so. Also learning #Fusion360 as a new modeling tool for a case.
I realise I haven't actually done an #introduction here, & that seems to be the thing to do. I'm Mark, I live in the Northern Ireland, I've been a professional .Net developer for around 15 years now, I used to play a lot of rugby, now I occasionally lift weights & run. I love learning new things & playing with #RaspberryPi #Picos & other small electronics, I’m a serial hobbiest & the king of 66% complete abandoned projects. markmcgookin.com for a bit more stuff, but nothing too ground breaking.
