Apropos of nothing, The Simpsons is one of the most overrated, soulless, self-satisfied and nasty shows ever. No wonder it's been dragging on for over 30 years. Anything with integrity would never have been allowed to continue for so long.

And the only reason they're doing this is out of simple expediency. Remember how they double-downed, in their usual arrogant way, over the Apu issue. Because they knew they could get away with it.
