@redheadedfemme @Jennifer_Pinkley you can also import your Goodreads data into LibraryThing including reviews and ratings (if you exported it before you deleted your account). I forget why I moved from mostly LT to mostly GR to be honest.

#MastodonNews Dec 16, 2022

CNN: Elon Musk’s Twitter blocked links to rival Mastodon. That could raise alarms among regulators >>> https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/16/tech/mastodon-twitter-links/index.html

In addition to suspending journalists who had been covering a controversy related to the third-party tracking of Musk’s private jet, the platform also suspended the official Twitter account of rival Mastodon after it tweeted about the ElonJet account.

Introduction: Hi! I am an educational technologist, podcaster, tired mother, and gin enthusiast. I write and speak about edtech ethics, good teaching and learning practice, and university culture. My makeup is roughly 78% Doozer, 22% Fraggle.

"Be useful. If you can't be useful, be nice. If you can't be nice, don't be a nuisance." Wise advice from a grandmother who ignored all three. 🙂

I tried a couple different #twittermigration tools. #movetodon is hands-down the best. Super-easy, very clear in what it does, done in 60 seconds. Hey, found some old friends! Try it now. https://www.movetodon.org/ Thanks to @Tibor

The surge continues.

Averaging 3000 to 4000 new users per hour. Mastodon continues to run pretty smoothly. Over 70,000 new users in the last 24 hours puts us on track for over 80,000 today.

Great appreciation for Mastodon instance operators! Most instances are funded entirely through donations, so if you can swing it, think about supporting your instance. Check out the /about page (eg https://[instance name]/about) for a donation link.

FRIENDS: We are MeidasTouch, the unapologetically pro-democracy organization many of you know from Twitter, YouTube and elsewhere.

With the chaos at Twitter, we want to build our platform here on Mastodon to make sure we can continue to spread our message.

Can you please BOOST this post, FOLLOW our account and encourage your followers to do the same?
